THE CELEBRATION OF THE 91TH NATIONAL DAY OF SAUDI ARABIA,
RELIVING THE 91KM THE ANCIENT TRAIL OF DARB ZUBAYDAH ON CAMELBACK
Time shifted into the centuries, on this path of Darb Zubaydah
renamed on the honor of « Zubaydah bint Jafar » wife of the Abbasid Caliph Harun al-Rashid,
immortalized by her charitable works on the stations, forts and caravanserais
that provided waters and protections for the pilgrims along these route from Kufa (Iraq) to Makkah.
One of the most important routes in the Arabian Peninsula in the ancient world,
the pilgrims and traders crossed this vast Arabian Desert in caravans following these routes.
A trail of unification of diversity of regions, the heart of cultural and universal exchange.
The Region of Hail, since ancient times, was the heart of travelers and the generosity of its people.
Discovering this new part of Saudi, I had tears in my eyes by its new landscape made of its mixture,
the sand dunes, desert and mountains with ancient human existence carved into the rocks.
I'm really grateful to the General & to the Aaldroob Team for their heart & passion to relive this history
and to transmit the beautiful heritage of Saudi Arabia to the World.
