A STUNNING WINDOW IN ANCIENT HISTORY
Fossil Rock is a part of the Jebel Faya mountain range and is awash with marine fossils dating back 70 million years. It’s a stunning window in the ancient history of Sharjah, when it was the sea bed instead of being the desert that it is now.
I walk in the deep history of this area and over the caves which have become hosts of artefacts dating from the Iron and Bronze ages. This ancient path that I follow, created by the ancient sand dunes of the Arabian Desert, is now shining like the sun.
